• Oberursel U.I engine (24-32328) - 1/32

Oberursel U.I was a German-built 9-cylinder rotary engine rated at approximately 100 hp, developed as a licence-built version of the French Gnome 9-cylinder rotary design.

Produced by Oberursel during the early years of the First World War, it became one of the key engines used in the first generation of German fighter aircraft.

The engine was valued for its simplicity, low weight, and suitability for early monoplane fighters.

Typical applications included:
• Fokker E.I
• Fokker E.II
• Fokker E.III
• Early Pfalz E-series monoplanes

Engines of this type played a central role in early air combat development, during the period often associated with the first effective fighter aircraft.
