Oberursel U.0 was a German-built rotary engine rated at approximately 80 hp, based on the French Gnome 7-cylinder design.
Produced under licence by Oberursel, it became one of the earliest rotary engines used in German military aviation during the initial phase of the First World War.
The engine was valued for its simplicity and relatively low weight, making it suitable for early monoplane fighter designs.
Typical applications included:
• Fokker E.I (early production)
Engines of this type represent the early stage of rotary engine use in combat aviation, prior to the development of more powerful designs such as the Oberursel U.I and Ur.II.
Compatibility: This model represents a general configuration of the Oberursel U.0 engine. Aircraft-specific details may differ.
