Bentley BR.2 was a British 9-cylinder rotary engine rated at approximately 230 hp, representing one of the most powerful rotary engines of the First World War.
Developed as an improved successor to the Bentley BR.1, it combined high power with better reliability and stronger overall performance in late-war service.
It was primarily used in late-war British fighter aircraft, where maximum rotary engine performance was required.
Typical applications included:
• Sopwith Snipe
The Bentley BR.2 represented the peak of rotary engine development before more efficient inline and radial engines became standard in post-war aviation.
Compatibility: This model represents a general configuration of the Bentley BR.2 engine. Aircraft-specific details may differ.
