Oberursel Ur.II was a German-built 9-cylinder rotary engine rated at approximately 110 hp, developed as a licence-built version of the French Le Rhône 9J.
Produced during the mid-war period, it became one of the most widely used rotary engines in German fighter aircraft.
The engine was valued for its compact size and acceptable performance, although production quality was sometimes affected by material shortages.
Typical applications included:
• Fokker Dr.I
• Fokker D.VI
Engines of this type represent the mature stage of rotary engine use in German aviation before the transition to more advanced powerplants.
Development: CAD for this model was drawn by Chris Meddings, with technical information and corrections provided by Richard Alexander. The kit is produced using high-resolution 3D printing technology. The propeller shown in the images is for reference only. A matching propeller can be ordered separately or combined with the engine.
