Le Rhône 9C was a 9-cylinder rotary engine rated at approximately 80 hp, one of the most widely used powerplants of the early First World War period.

Developed in France, it became known for its compact construction, relatively smooth operation, and good reliability. The engine is easily recognised by its characteristic external copper induction pipes.

It was primarily used in early French aircraft, especially light fighters and reconnaissance types where low weight and simplicity were essential.
