Continental 760×100 spoked wheels in 1/24 scale, created for modellers seeking the highest possible level of scale realism in one of the most delicate and visible details of a WWI aircraft.
Unlike conventional one-piece wheels, these are individually assembled by hand. The tires are produced by high-resolution 3D printing, while the spokes are made from extremely fine 0.12 mm line and individually fitted to create a convincing open-spoke structure.
This is deliberately a labour-intensive product. Each pair requires careful manual assembly and adjustment, which allows us to reproduce the light and delicate appearance of real wire-spoked aircraft wheels much more convincingly than would be possible with a conventional solid or one-piece printed wheel.
Each wheel is individually assembled by hand using 0.12 mm spokes. These are premium, low-volume modelling accessories intended for projects where accuracy and realistic appearance take priority.
Despite their delicate appearance, the completed wheels are designed to support the weight of a finished 1/24 scale model. Their mixed construction also makes them more resistant to shock and deformation than wheels produced entirely by 3D printing.
The 760×100 size was used on a range of German WWI aircraft. Because these are complete spoked wheels rather than aircraft-specific covered wheels, they are not tied to any particular model-kit manufacturer. They are particularly suitable as a replacement for the wheels in the 1/24 Meng Fokker Dr.I, as well as for other 1/24 scale projects requiring Continental 760×100 wheels.
